The Story

IMG_9798.HEIC

Finding I could only wear earrings made of sterling silver or real metals and realising my choices were limited, I started learning how to make them for myself. Collecting beads from all over the world on my travels and turning antique necklaces and pieces into simple easy to wear earrings. No 2 pairs being quite the same and some being a little quirky. Not one for fuss, I feel the STONES speak for themselves both in cut and colour. Spending hours trying to find rocks from places as far flung as the foothills of the Himalaya’s to the sands of the beaches of islands in the pacific, I love making earrings for people and enjoy even more the feeling when it all makes sense.

I began making earrings for myself but quickly discovered that many of my friends and family either wanted a pair or asked me to make something special for a friend. This is where LOBEStONE was born. Using Sterling Silver findings, real stones, gems, bone and antiques my range is different affordable and made with love.

Using the names of the first friends I made these for, each of these earrings have a story. Earrings have been made for birthdays, for good luck in times of crisis, and to go with an outfit for a special occasion, or just simply because they had to be had.

I  believe a lovely accessory not only changes the way you look but the way you feel.

I sincerely hope you love your earrings as much as I loved making them.

Genevieve.

I have always had a love of earrings even though I didn’t get my ears pierced until I was in my early 20’s.

Constantly on the lookout for unique pieces that didn’t break the budget and that were original enough to feel like they could become my new favourite pair. I found my choices limited, either buying cheap imported mass-produced plastic numbers that made my ears sore due to being allergic to the cheap nickel; or go for earrings that were way out of my budget and a little impersonal due to being made for ALL not for one.
